Rottenführer Tabs on Cutoff Overcoat Collar - Opinions?

    Hello,
Recent pickup in an auction lot purportedly from a US 80th infantry vet who became a POW.

I try to research on my own but would like your opinions as I could not find a runes tab that quite looked like this with the vertical stitching lining the outside of each rune.

Nothing glows under a blacklight minus the silver in the bullion. The runes seem to pass the parallel test if you discount that outside stitching.

I collect mostly tinnies and armbands so appreciate your expertise. Thanks in advance! Justin

            You've been ripped off . . .
IMO the collar is Swedish and the tabs are nothing more than junk
I bet you paid a pretty penny for something that just fake
            Regards David

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated.

It was an impulse buy. You win some, you lose some. The other items in the lot have been fun researching.

                  Happy hunting, Justin

                    That's shocking . . . What did you pay for them ?
IMO the whole lot isn't worth more than $50 ~ $75
There is no need to buy on impulse I also don't agree
you win some you loose some either especially if you knew your stuff

                      Hi Justin
I know how you feel i made a similar impulse buy at auction. It was a cut-off
It used to be in experienced collectors collection,it was believed to be a tailor made piece. after posting it another collector claimed it was a total fabrication.
I still have it it's so tempting to remove it to see the reverse, but i cant bring myself to do it.
                      Cheers
                      Dave.
