Hello Gentlemen. I typically don’t visit this forum as I am almost exclusively a Heer uniform collector. This is my only “non-Heer” tunic, and I would appreciate your opinions on the authenticity of the base tunic. I purchased this a few years back and some of you may remember it. I purchased it with the understanding that the insignia was post-war applied.
I’m not listing this for a sale, I just want to know that it is correct so that my son or whomever ultimately owns it will have more assurance than just the COA that accompanied it.
Thanks in advance for your opinions. It looks like a late-war, rough wool tunic, similar to those often encountered by troops that brought them back and applied all sorts of wonderful insignia. As you can see, this one is GJ decorated.
Again, I’m not concerned about the timing of the application of the insignia. I am only concerned about the tunic itself.
Regards,
Bob
