I suppose it's about believing in the item.
Have you bought it or are you still trying to decide.
Either way good luck with your decision
    Cheers
    Dave
No I have this item in my hands
There is nothing wrong that puts me off . . .
It could have served as runic tab on a tunic / Who knows ?
I've bought it and it's going to stay in the collection
    Regards David

Have you quit for good Mark or just having a break.
I've sold up a couple of time's for different reasons.
The hobby's addictive side brought me back I hope it might do the same for you
                Cheers

David you are not the only one, I think it's early pre war SS I don't agree its field made. It would be fantastic for one of these to turn up with some kind of provenance as I think you have something very special there.
Where did you procure it from if I may ask?

                    Hello Paul . . .
Both the tab and I reside in the UK
Obviously when buying one of these item one is fully aware of whats going to be said and what people will think.
This is not the only odd tab I have in my collection, but dont get me wring I dont collect fakes or reproductions.
For me this is not as you can see a standard issued its something that s been hand made due to the need. This one and the others I have . . .
All have the correct components that more or less make up the standard issue types just in a different format.
I hope like you Paul I do have something here but sadly we are never going to know but it and the others make me happy.
                    Regards David
