Collar tab with skull - is it authentic?

I just got this collar tab in a bag full of WWII relics. Does anyone have an opinion if it is real or not? Thanks.

Its not SS and appears to me something you get out of a cracker

David is right. It's a reproduction trying to be an army collar tab, not SS.
