Just wanted to run this by the group before pulling the trigger, so to speak. It looks good to my novice eye, but I would appreciate other's opinions.

The tab looks original, but the reverse looks a little odd. Normally the cutting guidelines aren't quite this close to the edge and the wool folds over the buckram a little more. I suspect it has been wet and the wool is loose from the buckram or perhaps the buckram has been replaced. Unless this one is really cheap, I think I would wait for a better example. These are relatively common and also relatively inexpensive as SS insignia goes. Just my opinion.

Original tab and a rarity at that since this one looks to be period worn. I would have no problems having this one in my collection, the buckram is fine as well.

Please let me know if this one comes available for purchase.

Hi,

this tab model, like most of the Dachau volunteer tabs, was not worn in the field.

The "division" actually only temporary existed in 1944, and we can say that it was amongst the worse SS units, military speaking.
