Hello to all collectors and friends,
may I ask you for sharing your opinion on this pair as this stuff is far away from my area of interest?

    Thank you very much!

I cannot say good or bad but boots garments are so easy to fake with an additional stamp/press stamp and this is done since decades.

I only would go with someting like this to be 100% sure.

i do like your boots Dedman
Robert thank you for showing us your example
for a future reference can we see how the tag is attach to the thick leather
is the thread penetrating to the outside?
also how the size markings and others numbers should be apply to the boots?
should be a ink stamp or deep press numbers ?
i guess same standard should apply to other things like belts and pistol holsters
should we see any numbers under the sole of the boots ?
i would think that the cloth tag in this location would be expose to damage by rubbing of the wool breaches
i own plenty pairs of military issue field boots with cloth tag and sorry to say but if i dont remember my size i would have hard time to determinate what size they are
All markings are gone long time from rubbing the socks
