    Wiking cuff title opinions please

    Hi all,

I had this on Campaign shields/cufftitles but was advised to put it here as well.

    All opinions welcome

Plus is it an officers or NCO cuff? and what is the difference between the two?

    Is mise

Hi Barry. As mentioned, this is a really nice EM/NCO RZM embroidered pattern. Wiking cuff titles were created in several different styles such as this RZM pattern, machine embroidered silver flat-wire, and hand embroidered silver bullion wire. There is another variant created in a style similar to the SS-Feldgendarmerie cuff title but I'm not very familiar with it.

Officers usually wore hand embroidered silver bullion wire or machine woven "flat-wire". Not totally uncommon for an enlisted man or NCO to purchase and wear the officer variety on a walking out tunic. Hope this helps you a bit.

Not forgetting the hand embroidered bands in fraktur script used by Gille's staff and in gold thread for Gille.
