Black M43 cap

Hello,

I got offered this black M43 cap trough a collectors friend.
As I do collect Kriegsmarine my knowledge about SS when it comes to vetting of original items is down to zero.

Therefor I would like to ask your help about this cap.
It is good ? Restored ? Bad ? A mix of all ?


Please let me know if additional pictures needed so I can ask the seller to provide.

The insignia is original and the cap looks very nice to me (but I know very little about caps)

Need an hand inspection. Coarse wool, mint lining but, apparently wrong shape.

A Panzer M43 cap like this is a "Can of worms" in more ways than one. The cap you show, seems to have been made from "blanket" wool which is interesting.

Black linings can often face resistance from collectors.

However, here is a good one with a black lining that has meet with approval to compare with;

I do not consider htb lining. Black cotton with % of rayon is wellcome for me.
