      It's a piece of history.
I just didn't know if it was real or not.

        Hi,

this wooden sign is 100% fantasy crap.

SS location signs were all very well made, and painted white, especially in the West.

There is no logical explaination for have "Waffen-SS" and the "(Allgmeine-)SS sign" on the same sign. This is ridiculous.

If you can, contact the auction house and get your money back.

        See You

Oh nonono, I never bid on it. I merely saw it on the auction site and figured I'd get an opinion before I threw a bid at it.
You've now saved me the trouble. Thanks a lot!

                  great news then.
Yes you did the good thing, it is always better to post something that may be a bit suspicious before a sale.

At least this confirm that the "SS plaques" (last one on the page) that flooded the net during the last years are modern reproductions.

Well now that I know it's fake, I can retract that statement and say it's totally not a piece of history.
Thanks to everyone for their insight, I'm steering far clear of this.
