      Definitely original. This particular variation can be found with wider prongs than the norm. These prongs are also very fragile. Anyway, a nice and rare skull.

            It must be rare, I searched all my saved photos and didnt have another one like it. It had me scratching my head a bit . Nice find.

              Coogan, I am currently unable to locate the pictures that I took of my own example of this skull variation, but I did find these pictures that I took years ago of Bob Hritz's example. Hopefully Bob will not mind me posting it. Anyway, this is another good example for your studies, and with slightly clearer pictures here, (although still not the best of quality). Hope this helps!

                      Both skulls in this thread appear to made of Tombac. However, a very few standard marked "RZM 52" skulls have been found that were made of CupAl, (probably the very last run of them, before the transitional M1/52 skulls were introduced).
