    Fake cap eagle?

Can anyone tell me if this cap eagle is a repro?
My father in law bought me this eagle in Stockholm (I guess it will be in my collection anyway )

    Thank you so much,

I'll jump in..the prongs look too wide...and not too sure what to make of this feather...I think this is a sign of repros...actually I just looked at some originals and they have a large feather in this spot too...perhaps Chris will respond soon.

Also..what are the markings on the reverse...they are hard to make out from the picture you have posted.

            Hoheitszeichen...??

The general appearance of this piece seems off to me; the age-ing seems artificial---especially the reverse seems very odd to me and as if the process of corrosion has been forced and is too uniform... the prongs: gargantuan; I think this a kind of faux Buntmetall, or whatever. I would not buy it based on these pictures, or, I am in error and this is kupal that has had the alu. layer blitzed off, but I do not think so; the aged cupal or kupal does not look this way. Colleague McClurkan can speak to this alloy better than I can. Per saldo, I vote no, but I aver to others.....perhaps the wise Sayle F or the magisterial Klaushund will respond, too....

May I ask where in Stockholm this was bought?

                Hello!

I´ve decided to make an experience, so we´re all can learn more about repros.
For the first time I cleaned one piece of my collection. I used a metal cleaner, hot water a soft brush and soap
After the bath, I could clearly see the RZM logo (very difficult to take a picture), on the other side there´s a M1/52 mark. The results you can see below...

                What do you think...

                Cheers,

                Ricky

As he remembers wasn´t in a militaria store. It was in a antique shop...

In addition to what has been mentioned, this is a very well known copy.
The eye of the eagle is wrong and it is very distinguishable on this particular
                        variation.

                        Best, Chris

Can you ask him on which street this was? (Maybe "Torsgatan" or tors street).
