SS leather stamps

Has anyone have knowledge of leather items such as belts, and or chin straps marked SS (runes) 4/38 RZM?

Here is the MM, I believe this a legit f?p 44, the steel buckle, and SS stamp, probably added later, I do not not know. Any info. Thanks.

The SS stamping is indeed a post-war addition.

Thank you Rheinmetall. I took a closer look at the MM and it's ftb 44, which I believe is a good strap.Some one mucked it up with a bogus SS stamp
