This is a Heer M36 NCO tunic albeit with SS insignia attached, this did happen throughout the war as has been documented with both professional attributes an photographic proof.

Would expect to see more wear around the insignia if this had been on the tunic from the beginning.

But still a nice original tunic and insignia

I'm not a fan of the runic tab.
            Cheers

              Hi there!

I'm not an SS collector, but the arm eagle looks to me too much high on the sleeve...

              Best,

The majority of ss tunics were of heer pattern so there's no issue there.
I can't see ghosting on a heer eagle on the breast but purely in my opinion the ss insignia is restored. The eagle looks hand stitched and the tabs just don't look like they've been sat there for decades.

The sleeve eagle and rank tab are real.

                    Hi Frank

The arm eagle is if anything a little low, generally the top of the eagle is in line with the top pocket.....was told by an ex SS veteran that they used the shoulder board as a guide, by unbuttoning the top and folding it down and the tip of the board when laid flat against the sleeve would be where the arm eagle would be placed.

                    All the best

And no the eagle positioning is fine. The regs where to have it in line with between the top and bottom flap of the breast pocket, aligned with the centre seem of the arm.
Many restored jackets have them too low in general.

Out of curiosity, what makes the bluse Heer pattern?

Also, imho those tabs haven't been on there for 70 years

                            Who is selling these tunics?

Bad rune tab, questionable tresse on the collar and strange wear/soiling of the lining... Too many red flags - run!
