      We both are not Smart Asses....i only can assume whats possible. And that the Pips are for ever on them we will never know. If we put them down then we would get quicker closer to what it may was.

        Boards

        I'm also really curious about the silver piping around the boards. Has anyone ever seen any similar boards with silver piping around the edges? Again, we will never know about the pips, but I really doubt they were added by the veteran. They are nicely placed and do not go through the back. I guess if I remove the pips and the silver piping, I would essentially have a pair of SS officer boards. But of course I would never do that. Unless proven that these boards never existed with piping and the pips.
