    SS poster Nordmenn.

    Good day gentlemen!
I bought these items from Norway.
The owner claims that he received it from an old collector.
It looks very old, but I'm not sure.

    Sincerely:

    Michael.

Remove it from the frame if possible and see if it bleeds through on the backside.

There's an old tape around it.
I think it will break if I remove it ?

Definitely do not attempt to remove the tape yourself.

If you have a poster or paper conservationist near you I would suggest that they do this for you as the tape adhesive will eat away at the paper over time.

          Hi Michael,
The first impression from the pictures are good. The colors and the print, a color lithograph was the technique they used on this poster, also look good. In my near to twenty years of collecting I have only seen this poster in 4-5 collections. It’s certainly rare. The paper used on these excact posters were rather thick and a typical bleed-through aren’t always evident with this type of paper. The original paper used on these posters were kind of «hairy» or had fibers in the texture. It kind of looks like your poster has that in the pictures.

So as Max says, be careful with the tape and preferably leave it to a professional.
One thing though; this poster was only printed in approximately 45 cm. X 32 cm. In Tom B. Jensens book it is listed as 48 cm. X 32 cm. ( I think. I haven’t got it here, being on holiday), but mine and the one a fellow collector also has, are the approximate measurements I have stated above. That is the first thing I would check if I was you.

            Hi guys,

I agree with Bullman. Only small size exists. Here is mine, before/after linen backing. Second image is from my camera and makes it lighter than it is.
