Insignia

They are hard to find insignia that have been cut off from a crusher visor, which is a very rare piece of headgear. TK is an officers grade flat wire and I believe the eagle is too. They are worth a premium, since they came together off a crusher.

Have seen these in hand, textbook originals and amazing at that. Shame the vet trimmed it this way and didn't keep them together!

Cut Off

Hi Chahler,

Here is a picture of a classic crusher visor, which the cut off insignia below came from. Although I think the insignia in the book is not flat wire. Note the white piping above the cut off skull and how it matches the cap, IMO. This picture is from the book SS Regalia by Jack Pia from 1974 from the Ballentines WWII series. It is the book that got me interested in collecting SS items. The crusher visor was my favorite item in the book.
