SD Using W-SS Style Shoulder Boards?

Something I haven't really been able to determine for myself through photographic evidence, but did SD men ever use Waffen-SS style shoulder boards later in the war in lieu of "police" style type, and if so what waffenfarbe, white or toxic green?

Whereas I have not seen any examples myself, I firmly believe that as the war drew to a close, and resources to make uniforms and insignia got more scarce, SD officers would use Waffen-SS shoulder boards, probably with panzergrenadier or Jager piping, I would guess.

I have seen examples of late war SS officer tunics with Army shoulder boards, so I would not be surprised if SD wore regular SS or even Army shoulder boards.

There is/was no such thing as Waffen-SS Panzer-Grenadier green piping. All grenadiers in the W-SS wore white waffenfarbe.

Really? I always thought that they used the same color piping as heer, just with the green piping and black underlay?

Yes, really. Obviously you were mistaken.

However, SS Mountain troop Divisions/ units and SS Police Division/ units wore green piping that is often mistaken for SS Panzer Grenadier piping today,

Exactly. SS Police Rifle Regiments and SS-Gebirgsjaeger troops.
