      Hi Giorgio

      I have been looking at these for a while now.
      I've looked at a few other pairs for comparison just to make sure
      If they were offered to me I would have to refuse
      My reasons being . . .
      These tabs appear completely new
      Where have they been hiding for 80 years theres no age to them ?
      The piping could also be a little tighter IMO perhaps turned a little more
      Lastly I really don't like that buckram . . . Not something I'd expect to see on an early manufactured pair
      Therefore personally leave well alone even though very well executed
      Its a no from me . . . Sorry

      PS do they smell ?

          These tabs are on the next Craig Gottlieb auction which he has just started....they do look too new from what i can see and agree with David on the condition for something which is reportedly pre war tabs...I wouldnt want them in my collection

                I saved this Tabs in my files with relation to collection Hritz. I think they where sold on E-stand during the last year or so.

                Here are the old pics:

                  Can I ask if anyone is going to pass judgement on this pair of tabs ?
                  As I have already stated they would [possibly concern me if offered
                  But what about you how do you feel about them ?
                  Regards David

                    Ok....I asked opinions 'cause I've handled very few and I've a very few knowledge about ....but honestly I like them and I think they could have a chance...
                    (this does not mean that I will necessarly participate in the auction but I admit that I've been tempted....)
                    of course IMHO.....
                    All my best

                      Well,
                      First, I like the tabs;
                      Second, I have some doubts if the piping is original to the tabs. Looks a little sloppy attached for early pre-war tabs;
                      Third, I would expect a cloth tag to these early tabs, not a paper one. But that's not conclusive;

                      All in all, for the right price I think I would want them in my collection....

                      Grss

                            My understanding, is that:
                            • Paper RZM tags started to appear during 1938 to 1939.
                            • At some point in 1940, the paper RZM paper tags changed from Sütterlin script to Latin script.
                            • May 1940 Roman numeral and numbers were ordered removed.
                            • August of 1940 the black and silver piping was discontinued and ordered removed.

                            So that could date this collar tab between and 1938 and 1940 and a paper tag is not unusual. As for condition, I have 800+ pieces of Imperial German cloth, and many are absolutely in "as new" condition. In a drawer or box, away from light, insignia can remain unaltered over 100 years later.
