Im trying to help you. But yet no luck to find another chevron looking identical to yours, can you?

I think the tresse is applied upside down. That is, the side we are seeing is the side that is supposed to be against the wool triangle.

It could be either SS or Pz. SS tended to use aluminum tresse on rank chevrons. Army Pz tended to use gray tresse unless the uniform was to be used for dress wear. In that case, aluminum tresse was sometimes used.

However, these are just guidelines. In the real world, it could be either.
