One more thing, if you look closely, you can see that the material is actually zinc.
Most of these eagles are made of zinc with the typical silver colored finish and they are trying to be passed as a latewar, unmarked Assmann. The easiest way to remember this eagle for future reference, is to remember the eagle's eye. Notice how it looks like a partial circle under the eyebrow and when you combine that with the shape of it's beak, it has a very unique appearance that stands out from any other eagle pattern. The outer row of feathers on the rounded part of the wings are also way too narrow and the details here are very sloppy. Hope this helps to clarify a few things.
Thanks. At a glance it does look convincing but I've never studied SS eagles in detail and you're the expert in here. The newer fakes still don't have the definition but to a layperson, very dangerous indeed.
