    Mint Unissued M43 field cap

Recently vet acquired M43 SS field cap which appears to be unissued. Can someone elaborate on this maker and any comments on the cap are welcome.

1243 is correct for December 43..textbook cap by classic SS maker Whom predominantly made SS soft and also army soft and enlisted army contract visits..
Any History on how acquired ??

                    cap

Unfortunately no history available. Came with 2 gigantic
building flags from deceased vets home via a cleanout.

                        Here's a 1944 dated one , with what I always thought was an earlier badge configuration .. >> http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...3+Georg+Teufel

Interesting! So that 1243 is a typical Waffen SS trait, their way of marking dates!
Learned something new! Never encountered that before! The fakers have not caught on to that (yet)!
