Anybody ever seen one of these? Perhaps a commemorative patch for ex-inmates?

It seems odd that the letters "u" and "n" are identical and indistinguishable.

Could be a civilian souvenir, that has nothing with the KZL to do.

a few years ago I met some former KL-inmates at Bergen-belsen, and some of them had a embroidered badge with the name Bergen-Belsen on the Jacket. So maybe a postwar badge for survivors?

Sounds perhaps even more likely, than the souvenir thing!

There were some patches not listed in that summary table.

Anyway about the Buchenwald patch it is a modern one. Never seen before a commemorative one like that; construction looks really new.
