    Hohenstaufen Cuff Title

Ive been looking into the Hohenstaufen cuff title and from what Ive seen and read, theyre all Bevo-like. However, Ive only seen one that actually has Bevo-Wuppertal woven on the end. Im assuming this means that this specific cuff is a repro since none of the others have it? Can anyone that knows or has an original confirm that is is uncommon for Bevo-Wuppertal to be woven on the end of the cuff, or is it just a rare occurrance?

Also, is there an 'ultimate reference' if you will to Waffen-SS cuff titles? I havent seen too many good reviews on the Ulric of England books, and other than that I havent found much that specifically covers just cuff titles. Any recommendations?

    Thanks,
    Matt

And here is the cuff I referred to above.

The Hohenstaufen cuff band you just posted is in fact a "textbook" original Bevo band.

Do a WAF search under this band and you will see a post by Bob Hritz and others, showing all the variations of this band.

      Hi Matt,

your cuff title is not alone. Below twoother "Hohenstaufen" will the "BeVo" mark.

There is currently no "good" reference book, even for the machine-woven cuff titles.
Angolia book (1983, reprinted in 1989), Williamson (1998), or Woodhams (updated versions in 2003) are all incomplete.

As below that cuff title is fine not a repro.
You need to take a holistic approach to collecting. Trawl through the threads on here and other forums, learn and save pics where appropriate.
Books wise by all of them. Non are comprehensive, some are out of date or have mistakes in them.
Between the two approaches and enough time you'll be fine
Ps - buy the cuff if it's a reasonable price it's a nice piece

Post 1 is an original cuff in very good condition Matt.
Some cuffs were reduced in length to fit to the uniform,
so may not show the Bevo Wup. insertion.
And Vince has once again done some good work showing
            the differences.

I agree, very nice BeVo cuff title!

As said, nice comparisons by Vince!

              Cheers
