Never seen this type of tornister as an SS one.

Tag looks like it was already sewn on somewhere else, markings does not like correct one for tornisters.

      Are the straps marked, too?

Repro markings on the leather and the 426 on the tag , at least .
Later war Tornister with RZM ?

The tag is real for sure, and SS/VT. I am not sure if it belongs on this Tornister though, seems like a later war type (?). Take a look at the pictures of my tornister with tag please, I have seen these more than once though very rarely, maybe 2 or 3 in about 25 years. Blue ink stamp upside down on the tag and inside the Tornister there is also an inkstamp of "Schuhhaus Bartmann, Olsberg (1.?) West(..?), as far as I can read. Olsberg is a town in the regent of Paderborn and Bad Arolsen. Schuhhaus Bartmann still excist, there is a Weststrasse too, have tried to find it in an old telephone catalogue 1939 / 1940 but haven't found it than, not even the town of Olsberg, but I haven't tried very hard I must admit. Tornister came from a realtive, is 100% original as it is, no further story. Don't know if it is (local) SS, if Bartmann was a RZM distributor or something like that but it is not uncommon to find distributor stamps on early SS material, like "Sporthaus ... ". Only a RZM L3/48/39 makersstamp on the backside leather and on the straps.
