I guess i wrote my Opinion....and that is it. I am not someone who discuss pages over pages with no outcome. And in this case it really not matter at all i had enough in my hands and this one is by far the best made from all of them. So you are free to believe what you like....same on my side. And as i wrote, i did not post this one to get any kind of opinion i post it because it looks dam ****ing great.....

Why don't you show the other material you mention such as the letter? This is not even made in Germany like I said and showed. I hope you can get your money back. It's a faked brooch. Look on HH and you see many other faked ss brooches from Estonian brooches and for some reason they love using the Viking ship to put ss runes on.

The runes on yours are not even precisely cut. If you want to see quality brooch I could show one.

Do anyone read here what i write????? I give a dam Crap if it is fake or not, i have my Opinion and that is it. No time to discuss here over one single Item over and over again......hell if you say its fake, let it be a fake and that is it. That will not change that i looks way better and with much more detail on every Corner then all what is posted here so far....and thats enough for me to keep it on my Wall and be happy with it......at the End its mine on my wall and i have to look at it. And for a last time.....i post this not that you tell me it is fake, i post it because it LOOKS GREAT thats why i showed it, and in compare what i found here on pictures i can easy say mine looks a mile ahead better. So if anyone is offended because i have my Opinion then go to the next Tread leave this one with it Content where it is...it is simple. And the most important thing beside it looks....i did not pay a Cent for it. Then this is the first Fake i will keep because just of the look.

Problem is you post as original without posting supporting documentation, yet cite the letter. Let's see it all. Brooch on its own looks faked to me in photos. If you are happy, fine but it misleads others into spending a lot of money.

Are there any silver content marks on your Viking ship brooch?

It sure does not mislead anyone to anything here. And i post it as small and nice, and it is nowhere written i need to put anything supporting in what i post, i support it personal that is enough. Its a nice brooch and for that reason only i post it. If i am not certain in some medals then i always will post it and ask for help, here in this forum are enough very respected People who knows there field of collecting. Mine are Tunics and all what have to do with wool. And i wrote a few posts back, i would take this brooch without any supporting documents anytime. I had a lot of them in the past, they where all from the quality in making simple not close to this one here, that is why i keep this one up on one of my displays. That of course not say anything if its made pre 45 or not just because the quality is high. But as i say for me it is simple a to look at item what i personal like a lot. And 3 others here pointed out it is fake including you then there are 4. So then all can go after your opinion and consider it as fake. That i accept without any counter because it simple not matter for me in this special case. I have a little Corner in my Collecting room where i have a lot of Nordic Items like this one, and its something the people who visit me look at and then automatic talk about it. So can we please come to the condense for everyone it is a fake but i still like it and move on.....its enough talk about a small fake brooch

well some collectors worry that others will see this as being promoted as a SS Viking ship pin. And,,that some others will see them and spend small fortunes on what could not be what they seem to be..

It's like some foreign volunteer items,,,some need a bit of faith.

It's a nice looking pin. And sure you go in to hours on markings, measurements, documentation etc. Even IF your not looking for an opinion here once you post it here you going to get them from the right and left..

Important is,,what you wrote,, You like it.. And thats the best thing in this hobby. to find a piece you like and to enjoy it........

About 3-4 years ago i have seen smaller silver viking ship pin (not even a brooch) sell for over $1k just because it had SS runes engraved on sails (i still got pictures and sale add).

Two days ago skull ring was posted on fb ring forum, where it was reported by members as fake. Next day (Yesterday) it was posted as original on auction site and sold for 300 € within 10 minutes.

                        Hi,

stupid question : why are you posting your items, if you can't prove anything about them, despite you clearly imply that they are 100% real ?

Unless you are just trying to self-authentificate your items on the WAF, trying to find "yesmen" to give credibility...

I notice that you even refused to give the name of the SS high-ranking soldier you were searching info on... Now you refuse to provide additional infos, and you just provide never ending rahrah replies that no one read.

Maybe the best would be for you to just post your items on FB selling groups...
You will get more positive replies and more money.

                        See You

?? And you should get a Coffee and a bit fresh Air...would help. I guess i wrote his here now X times, i did not post this Item for anything beside to show it because i like it, what the hell is so hard to get in this??? Not everyone is desperate about some opinions and not everyone need to show off what he have or proof to the world Santa Clause is alive. And in the last 10 years i did not sell one single Item, so no worry there i do not plan to sell anything to anyone. And about the SS Officer, no worry the right people got the Name and research it already. So you can post what you want where you want and show what ever you like, same as i can and do. And from what i remember it is my choice what and to who i show something. So enjoy the Coffee and best wishes .

                            Viking ship brooch runic sails

The only legitimate Viking ship brooch ive seen with a rune in the sails is this one from my collection. I also have the exact same brooch that started this thread, minus the fake Gahr Mar and fake ss runes

This is another brooch I have seen enhanced with SS runes in the sails. Here it is as produced originally. I saw it on HH auctions with added runes, but cannot locate it now. Maybe someone else can find it and post the pic with the ss runes added to the sails?
