Would like to see larger image of the stamp and runes.
Seen it before where they take simple viking ship brooch and add runes like this.
I can tell from here there is no quality and detail to the stamp coming from someone like Otto Gahr.

Looks pretty nice and better than some of the fake pieces of the past. Problem is there are not enough representative examples that are original for a comparison and each brooch is of course different. I would not be in a hurry to post any more photos really. The kulturzeichen can be found in several areas with Allach being the most prominent.

I really was thinking my night will end without fun, but i was wrong. I did not post the brooch that someone tell me if it is original or not, because that i already know. You just wrote that the brooch have an Allach Stamp, so i am really sorry that i not take this for full now. And if you have a few Brooches in your life in hands than you simple can tell by the Detail work from where something is from. In this case, more details you can not find anywhere. And here is the picture from the Allach Stamp as well one from the SS Runes who are later added as you may think

And for reference i can warmly recommend the Book from Arthur Mayer and Heinrich Schild ( Otto and Karolina Gahr). There are no Lists left about what Gahr produced, only some Hand Drawings, and one of them was this Brooch. And from where it comes from, it comes together with a Letter from Karolina in where she confirmed that this Brooch was indeed done by there Workshop. I do not really need the letter to know it is from them, but it is a nice plus.

Of course it was not an independent product marking from Gahr, but it was used from them. And it is as i wrote not a Sign from Allach, they simple use it too. And because of what Gahr produced they where allowed to use the Octagon, or how you absolute correct call it Kulturzeichen.

I have an original copy of the Meyer-Schild book and you know it is not gospel. You write that because of what Gahr produced, the SS allowed them to use the Kulturzeichen. I believe the period evidence indicates the Kulturzeichen was limited to specific material designed by Diebitsch or approved for SS use. Was this brooch designed by him or approved?

I see you have lot of brooches and a Gahr book just like i do.
But would you expect to see Otto Gahr Schutzmarke with double runes unevenly shaped and with lines running over eachother like shown here? (and you know that these double runes have to have proper measurements).
Is that the quality of work you would expect from Otto Gahr workshop who produces jewelry for SS?

That is the only relevant book out there. But anyway i do not collect after a book. And in this case, i had my opinion, and i stick to that opinion. And when Karolina confirmed in a letter with her Signature that this is done by there Workshop, then well they may needed money to say not the truth, the letter and brooch is a fake or it is original. And from all the Brooches i see so far, this one have by far the highest detail level from all of them. And that is about all i can say to this matter. For me personal it remains a very fine example for everyone else....is his opinion. And at the end....it is on my wall...so i have to like it, and the only reason i show it is because i like the design work and not a second because i needed to know who have done it.

And surely not by Karolina Gahr as well.

                        Not a German produced brooch

This is not a Gahr brooch and prob not even German. Identical Viking brooches from 1930s Estonia are easily and cheaply found and this one has had the runes added. There also is a German seller adding ss kulturzeichen to silver brooches. This one is well done but it is not a Gahr brooch.

                          Estonian brooch with added runes

These Estonian brooches are nice and from the period but I have seen many humped up with ss runes on the sails. There is one on auction now for only $95.00 USD.

                            More Estonian silver brooches

These are very nice collectible brooches but not German and def not Gahr. Here are some other Viking ship designs.and motifs.

I agree with Joe W. completely... There is nothing that shows that was produced by the Gahr firm at all!
