I have an SS question not specifically related to uniforms and insignia, but I thought the folks here in this area might be the most knowledgeable.
Can anyone tell me if Otto Gunsche had a permanent room or other lodgings at Berchtesgaden? I assume that he would have in his capacity as Hitler's personal adjutant but am seeking some confirmation of that fact.
Also, does anyone know how the routine of travel worked for Hitler and his staff moving between Berchtesgaden and his various other residences and headquarters? I know that Hitler took his portrait of Frederick the Great with him when he moved locations, but what I'm asking is whether or not he and his staff maintained a uniform wardrobe and other personal items at frequently visited sites like Berchtesgaden and Rastenburg.
Thank you in advance for any help,
Z
