well,
nice bevo insignia.
I think the tunic is original, made from italian wool, an army 6 button variation.
I asume the wierd lining is because its italian made.
The stams are something i do not like.

Anyway, army 6 button variation is what will stop me from getting this one.

The eagle is a re-applied, trimmed Dachau type, I very much doubt it's original to the tunic.

Looks to be an assembly to me.

They're there. You can see in the full pic of the tunic inside out both sides have three stitched in the lining where the front and back halves of the tunic would join (you can also see the anchoring straps for them hanging below the armpit).

I agree with Ian and Greg regarding the insignia application. This is a post-war hump-up (can't even call it a restoration because it wasn't an SS tunic to start with - at least by design).

Save your money unless it costs <= to the sum of the parts - and even in that case you end up with a Heer tunic vs. SS one if that's what you're looking to display.
