Look at the casting line on the lower left corner of the reverse.

Very obvious now, but thanks for the additional photos.

It looks like it's been hosed down pretty hard this time. Did you give it a bath recently?
Not trying to continue the argument about it, but was just wondering.

I meant no disrespect to anyone with my opinions in this thread. These items can be tricky and I still make mistakes.

No offense taken here, I think anyone would be foolish to think they know everything.

I have only been at this 11 months and while I can easily spot bad fakes now, I still goof up.

I wish more collectors would get in and offer opinions and get involved in threads.

Just so you know, original transitional Deschlers are made of CupAl. Even the last few "RZM 52" skulls were made of CupAl. Never, has there been an original brass one found. Brass was discontinued before the end of the "RZM 52" period.

Also, your "brass" skull originally had a silver finish. The lacquer applied over top has turned yellow, making it look brass.

In Zimmerman skull you did not see a solder but you know for sure what kind of alloy Deschler manufacture used to skull production. They send you a official letter about production technologies ?

My last photo but this is my favorite.
