Thx Antonio, materials for sure look 100% ok. The hat is being flattened for years. You can hardly get it in a 'normal' position. It looks okay to me. I got it from a international very respected and regarded person.
Antonio, do you mean too neat and meticolous? What would you expect otherwise?
Not for that, they were made in a good way.
It is missing some details.
I have to say that exist originals made in this way, but also copies are all made like this. And nowadays it is amost impossible distinguish a good missing details, from a fake.
My books:
- THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
- THE SS TK RING
- THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
- THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
- THE AWARDS OF THE LW
The interior is a little different but I have another cap with very similar interior. These caps I believe were found in a very large hoard in Europe. They all have the exact same characteristics.
These hats are something you'd expect to see. . ragged, rough shape and would have been made late war IF there was enough scrap material. Postwar though they did make a bunch. Many can be seen being worn at the 're unions' postwar in to the 50s..
