Would like some opinions on this tunic

Ofcourse I have no reason to distrust Mr Davis, but anytime I consider a purchase this high I like to get some other opinions on it. While not a complete novice when it comes to SS Tunics, I still have some learning to do. The insignia to me look spot on and the tunic looks legit, but would like to hear what you guys think. Thanks in advance

    Looks alright to me
Obviously had a field promotion, hence pip penetrating the collar and tresse overlap of the collar tabs.
    Collar hook looks replaced.

I thought these with 2 belt ramp holes and longer pockets were called the M43 tunic but no matter, original tunic and original insignia.

        Hi Ian,
This one is as stated, an M42 as it has the pointed pocket flaps.
An M43 would have straight pocket flaps.

The M42 was the first model to have the 2 belt hook holes.

You can feel assured by the sales description on this one. IMO an all original tunic which is very appealing and of course hard to find in this nice worn condition.
The price reflects this but is in my humble opinion set too high; as often when consignors are aiming for the jackpot. For a more realistic price this tunic would have been sold multiple times for sure, but it is true, in the end someone will pay the asking price nonetheless...

The frayed cufftitle I find especially attractive, showing the correct wear there where it shaves the side.

Worth noting is also that you can find ''hybrids'' of the different models. For instance, a tunic with straight pocket flaps like an M43 but with pleated pockets like M40. Germans at the time just constantly simplified the design of the m36 gradually to save money and time. They did not call these tunics ''M42'' or ''M43'', for them it was simply the standard feldbluse that got modified over time.
