    Totenkopfring

Sorry, i do not have one to show. I just need some info for an article on a WW1 award ring and having gone through hundreds of posts I still do not find it.

How wide are the SS Honor rings?

    Short and simple question,

    Thanks
    Chris

An original Totenkopf Ring needs to be 7mm wide.

Thanks for the info, I had googled for a couple of hours, found hundreds of mentions on naming, but nothing on size other than a guestimate of 7.5mm, so the 7mm is perfect,

Yes, the '40 pattern must be 7.

            Are there also 7.5?

There are some reproductions at 7.5mm but not any originals.

                  Ring

I believe the 40's ring DOES have a taper to it, although it's very slight.
That's why he measured the 7mm at the Ty-Rune.
The 30's rings appear to have no such taper.

To be more accurate I would like to add an update and say that the 40’s rings should actually be about “7.1mm” to be exact and not “7mm” as I had previously stated. Those rings should be actually measured with a caliper and not a ruler. (Can’t find my caliper at the moment) I have not measured my 30’s ring yet, but I assume it should be the same.

I measured the ring 42 years, there the size of the circle was different: from 6.9 to 7.1
