    SS Panzer Shoulder Strap

Hello, I picked this strap up today and just wanted some more opinions on it. I've always struggled with authenticating shoulder straps and have been burned in the past. Thanks for looking!

I agree, it's a genuine, but not WSS, simply Panzer Heer, for the special uniform in black cloth. IMO the manufacture towards the beginning of the war, around 1940, when the plate flat of NCO in artificial silk gray mate is adopted and that the piping is still in cloth of insignia.
            Cheers

Thanks guys! May I ask what's the easiest way to tell ss to heer shoulder boards? Is it there construction or color?

In principle, and most commonly observed, all the productions specific to Enlisted & NCO the Waffen-SS, include the underside of the shoulder straps in feldgrau cloth, while the top is in black cloth, it is the same for the flap.
A black cloth top, in the case of a Heer shoulder straps or of the Panzer-Division Hermann Göring, necessarily identifies an effect for the black cloth tank jacket. These garments are generally made entirely of black cloth.

For SS officers, the shoulder boards usually include a black cloth sofa placed underneath the shoulder board which is in the color specific to the formation (white for infantry, pink for tanks, scarlet for artillery etc.).
