    ss items lot not claimed

HI gents , about two years ago i sold some ` ss items ` here on the forum , they were bought by a guy in the U.S he paid and i posted them off,

I now find for what ever reason I did not post them , i have just found the parcel in an old stock box why they were not posted I do not know im sure they were paid for , the thing is I have realized the buyer never contacted me again to let me know this either out of politeness , or ` hey must be lost in the post pal ` no point kicking off or and im sorry to say this the guy may have died ?

This is a genuine request to make good an honor my side of the deal if you know who you are please contact me with a description of the the items you bought , many thanks

Hi yes, that was me. I was going to give it another year before contacting you to let you know the SS Officer tunic and visor hadn't arrived yet.
Can you please send them now, or if that's not possible, refund me my $16,000.
    Thanks

Well, why didn't you post the stuff if you're sure he paid you?
Were you scamming him or something?

I think your "point of honour" would have been to actually send the items he paid for as soon as you received his money?

It's only been a couple years- just send it. It's already paid for. Some people aren't on the forum for periods longer than that. Just my opinion.

If you have his address, why don't you send him a letter to him and see if he is still at the address. Or, you can type the name on Google with the address that you have and see if it comes up with a phone number and call him. Just a thought.

You don't have an unclaimed French tank unit badge laying around do you? It was never received and as I was out of the country and only discovered it hadn't arrived until after I returned home I just chalked it up to "lost in the mail" and wrote it off as I was buried up to my neck with more important issues.

Why do you apologise? They offend you and you apologise?

Those things do happen. I sold an item a few years ago to an overseas buyer, he never paid for it, attempted to contact him several times, no response to emails, waited at least a month then sold the item to someone else. Two months later i receive a money order in the mail, guess from who?? Yes, the original buyer. Attempted to contact him again, Still no response. So I just sent the money order back to his return address. Unbelievable how some people conduct business like that. You just cannot conduct business online if there is no communication beyond the initial contact. This drives me crazy.
