Not an original cut-off ... real eagle but the stitching is very bad. I'm sure the camo experts will give their verdict on the material.

The fakers never learn.. When you see this Dachau hoard eagle on a cut of you can be pretty sure its a fake "cut off"... Same goes with a SS jacket or wrap... not originally sewn on eagle with 99% certainty...Comment

Thanks for the help, I do have to disagree with the fabric though I do believe it is original. Looks like and has the feel of zeltbahn material which is why I thought maybe field made piece.Comment

I have no problem with the truth, what I was hoping for was constructive reasons as to what is wrong with it, what you don't like about it, construction...pattern...color...etc.
Lots of opinions on this forum but hard to get specifics, not everyone is an "expert" and I thought the goal of a forum was to share and learn from each other including mistakes and how to avoid them in the future. It's kind of hard to learn when an item is deemed "bad" but nobody will share why.

A lot of people subscribe to the philosophy that the fakers are watching so they don't want to help them by pointing out why something is fake.
I have also noticed there are those with the attitude that they spent 30 years learning this stuff the hard way, so why give you an easy answer.
A lot of times you can get more info by pm ing a more experienced collector for additional info although I have often been ignored doing this as well.
If you spend enough time at it , it will get easier.
In looking at your initial photo my initial reaction was a Dachau piece that looked too newly sewn. I however did not know whether the camo was real or not. Having said that 6 months ago I didn't know what Dachau was so I'd advise to just stick with it and start reading cammo pattern threads from the search function.
