Last pattern SS Zeltbahn with the added sides. Handsewn buttonholes and single eyelets for the Zeltleine. I believe these late war zeltbahns with the added sides are either printed on captured Italian material, or printed with captured Italian print equipment as they came at the same time as the Mimetico Zeltbahns first show up. I believe these where manufactured side to side with the "4 panel" SS smock with the seam in the front and back.

I took pictures of this one recently and thought it would be nice to show here. Early war #4. The buttons are missing unfortunately but you can see the anodized grommets used on early ones. Lateral pattern camo used inside the head-hole as well.

VT Zelts are a rare bird, this one is particularly interesting because the
brown side was printed in the 3 pattern whereas the green side shows the 4 pattern.

I have seen this with later Zelts, this one here is however the first VT one I have seen showing this.

                    Cheers

They are the same screens. When they went to print the reverse side, they had the screens oriented wrong, i.e. upside down. Really uncommon to see on such an early zelt

That is exactly the reason and a sign that this particular zelt is one of the "later" VT Zelts when real mass-production was introduced. One can see that there was less time available when those were produced and thus mistakes were made.

                          Cheers

Here PW use of the oak
As you can see everything in this color picture is in almost mint condition.

Here’s a very rare poly spot zelt
I personally have never handled one or got near one.
                              A 1940 onwards item.

This rare early #5 just sold on the e-stand. Anodized grommets still there but if the buttons were colored, they have been replaced. Interesting number 5 on the left side. The background was left white on purpose here. I’ve never seen this before.IMG_9064.jpgIMG_9065.jpg
