Here is a cool item I just acquired. It was a vet bring back where the soldier decided to just bring the whole sleeve home. The only other one I have seen was in a book, but I am not much of an SS collector anyhow. I love uniform cut insignia, but this one takes the cake.

Phild, If the tresse is aluminum it is pre 45. It should feel cool to the touch and under magnification it becomes clear. DDR elongated diamond tresse is made from a synthetic material. There was a big post on the forum a while ago about this.Comment

Agreed, I personally handled this piece and can say that I and others liked it. The fabric is Italian wool and cut was correct, it even has the correct button. The stitching on the eagle looked correct as well. Here are better quality photos of the piece.Originally posted by jmcm View Post
