        I judge mostly by the backing material. I have no doubts it's an authentic collar tab. you see that exact same backing on early SA tabs as well. There IS a chance it was an SA collar tab, but the dimensions here suggest SS, as their tabs were less elongated than SA.
        I'd say you're good to go
