Original German WWII period private purchase skull ring. Could have been worn by any member of a military unit including the Army and SS. But certainly not an officially issued SS Ring.
If this "ball" right beside the right eye on the pic of backside is like a pearl of the material of the ring, the ring is fore 100 % sure a cast fake of this period pattern.

photos like these are really no help this day and age no matter where you post them... The copies are just SO good!.
So it IS a good well known pattern ring.
This one looks cast [some weirdness on the bones]., the casting dot/pearl...
How about a 'birds eye view' shot.
And just one nice photo dead straight on of front of ring,,well lit, in focus..
And,, looks like a hallmark stamp,,or content stamp. It would be great to have a good photo of what ever it is..
Yes it is very hard to get good photos of jewelry. This ring looks to have the oxidized finished offered on some rings.. Good for photos as the glare factor is down..
IF authentic this is a nice, relatively valuable, cool looking ring... But to say its authentic you'll need much better photos........
