      Hi,

post war badge, i had in hands a similar one, which was said to be made for the veterans of the Wallonie. The "Wallonie" font and the pin are different though.
I will remain a bit cautious about those post war badges.

      See You

          Hi,

i will add that it seemed that no period picture exist with those badges.
At the time there was no use for them, volunteers had various authorized badges and shields.

Included below is the other post war model that is said to be made for the Wallonie veterans.
can clearly see the different pin and font used for "Wallonie".
Pictures by me, collection of a friend.

          See You

              Hi,

by the way, a "thank you" is not mandatory, but is the less you can do when you get free info on a messageboard...

                  Wallonie pins

                  Period items!
Unfortunately known from very few pictures.
Both were worn by sympathizers. Below a walloon nurse worning the lapel pin (smaller one).

Some pieces from my collection, for the comparison : the smaller one on the left, the bigger one on the right side and... oh yes, the Bevo shield at the center ;-)

Hi, No problem with this pin. There are 2 sizes and 2 catch systems. For sure a good one.

                        Hi,

i still confirm that every infos i got from advanced collectors and historians put them as POST-WAR items.

Just to put an extra additional "caution" on them...

mictus, thanks for your picture but unfortunately we just can't see anything on it. Is there somewhere a better quality shot, or other similar pics that show something that may be a "Wallonie" badge ?

                        See You
