          I have not really studied these but the roundrel looks of different material than those I noticed have been pronounced " good "

          Take my advice with a grain of salt since I'm learning but I agree , usually if no one comments it means the piec may be tough to classify.

            The other tidbit I picked up is the roundrel should be slightly oval and yours appears round to me.

              The roundel is correct for a cotton armband. To me it looks fine ... good quality on the folding of the swastika.

                  Cotton SS armbands are never a slam dunk. They were made for the brownshirt and most are pre RZM.

                  The materials of construction look to be period, the proportions are correct, and I like the workmanship. The age and wear looks natural to me. I'd say it is a good one.

                        I like the stitching method and way swastika folds are done and sewn, same for inside circle, thread colors show time was taken to do it right, I think it is good.

                          This early style was faked extensively (may still be) with proper materials, but they never looked this good to me. This example looks flawless with a great patina. I really like it.
