Hello Robert the writing style is called the Gothic it is very used by German.
You should not see copies everywhere, especially for such an object.

I know well, but it is written like someone is not well used to write it. Look he thought about each letter.
Why it is unbekannt when a name is written on the box? Propably a foreigner wrote it...

Doesnt it translate to the items going to the next of kin..whose name is as yet (the time of writing) unknown? The only other translation is Unknown items to be forwarded to next of kin..I think the second is probably correct..its just the contents are not specified..but.Im not a native speaker.
