Waffen SS palmenmuster smock. Helps needed

Smock is a textbook original palm smock. The only modifications have been removal of the elastic waistband and the adding of a zipper all the way down. It also appears that the back was tailored in to make it fit smaller.

When this was done is hard to say.

It appears the sleeves still have elastic, just long since stretched out, which is very common on smocks.

Heavily modified , missing elastic or worn out ? and the zipper does not help, pattern common, unless its very cheap I think I would pass , they are always for sale in this pattern .
