Neat "SS" belt buckle - Any good??

    Hello forum

I just bought this at a garage sale this morning for $50.

The seller went into the house to get it after I asked about military stuff.

He says his dad bought it back from the war.

Is the buckle original? It looks like it was either embellished by the GI, or post war by a biker? It must have been modified a long time ago based on toning and age/wear.

I think a motorcycle chain was used as a belt? The links say made in England, so I assume it was off a British motorcycle?

    thanks for the help. Robert

                    thanks guys

I will take it to the Pomona military show next week... and just confirm for sure.

The guy had no reason to make up a story that his dad brought it back..... but... if it's fake, it's fake regardless of story.

                    Thanks. Robert

No matter which story seller said, it's a well known repro.

I think it was made by the fans of heavy music or bikers motorcyclists
