Hi all,
Having aquired this board in a lot of KM insiginia I ofcourse assumed that it was also KM. But, KM did not to my knowledge have boards with double layer as this one.
These existed in the LW, WH and the SS.
WH reserve medical officer is out of the question as the underlay would have to be grey.
LW reserve medical officer is unlikely - please see the 2 photo2 of 3 original LW reserve medical officers boards together with the board in question (far right) - the backing is simply too dark (black) for LW.
And please compare the 2 Waffen-SS boards with the board in question. (the 3rd and 4th photo).
I think it is a Obersturmführer und Arzt.
I know that in 1939 the boards was supposed to be of matt braid, but maybe this one is before..?..or for walking out..?..or maybe Allgemeine-SS..?..
And please note: I do not care which branch this is, I just want to find the right place for it.
Any input will be highly appreciated.!!!.
Best regards,
Hans Kristian
