I never buy rank tabs with this kind of litzen myself.

Its the vertical stripe that functions as a rank indicator along with the rank pips.

It does not match verified original war time litzen.
Below is another fake litzen in a fake collar tabs pair (observe the fake runes and learn their shap) on Snyders trash.

Bottom pic is of an original litzen.

Yes I can see the difference between the two litzen.. and these are definitely not period wartime manufacture? Why do some collectors accept them as originals? And some don't ?

Sorry for all the questions I'm trying to learn as much as possible...

Some collectors take chances and are more liberal with whats original and not.
My level is rather high for acceptance as original.

Picture (top) is of a collar tabs pair with provenance and a history from the vet. Observe the style of litzen.

Bottom picture is of a collar tabs pair from the estate of SS Obersturmfuhrer Erich Strutz. (my collection)

These are the reasons why.

Yes I can see the litzen clearly, those are some very nice Collar Tabs. Do you have many in your collection Felix ?
