    Dear All,

can you help me saying if this skull is a good one?

How much can be its value?

    Thanks in advance.

Your photos aren't taken straight on but here's a photo I have in my " real" folder to compare.

            I like it!

            Value should be around $650.00 - $750.00.

I'm not going to stick my neck out and say real or not since I'm still learning but I find the area I circled interesting. Are these lines kind of like a mis stamp or something else ?

Yes, it is a miss strike. I have a couple in my collection. Nothing wrong here.

                  it's a good one

You can not expect to always find them in mint condition or text book examples
Some may have the passage of years, mistreatment, hundreds of hands for them, or small manufacturing faults

I think the two pictures I posted must be a different die than the OP showed. Exactly how many different molds have you spotted ?

I say this because the slash / looks shorter.

For aluminum Deschlers, I know of six different reverse dies/marking variations.

Sorry, I know that some of these are a bit blurry, but here are the four types that I have in my collection.

The 2's all have a very similar font.

I've noticed the M in the m1/24's seem to have the v in the M off center as well and the fakes don't.

Thanks guys for your kind help!

It is not my field of interest so before to put in on the estand I needed some opinions.

If you want I can try to put a better photo of the code but it is not easy to do a particular clear photo.

                              Best regards,
                              Roberto
