Looks to be fine flatwire pieces. Though I'm not that experienced in these. Let's see what others have to say.

A very nice example of an officers flat-wire cap insignia

Thank you very much to all for the quick responses. These are new acquisitions for me, and I was confident on the seller and reasonably confident on the pieces . It is nice to have your opinions as well.

Am I correct to say these would have been worn on a black M43 cap ?

No not necessarily . . . why do you think that ?

I guess because I am unsure. I have not been studying the cloth headgear to great extent , most of my time has been spent on the metal visor insignia. I want to write a little blurb to put in the display I am making and I want to be sure the info is accurate.

Overseas cap is what I should have said.

First of all - Lovely set!

Secondly - could have been worn either on a black panzer for officer M43/overseas but more likely on a grey M43 or an oveases. Because of the numbers of normal troops compared to panzer troops.

                        Thanks for that.

I will do some more searching with those terms in an attempt to better educate myself. The learning curve for me is steep at this point.

                          Good flatwire insignia
                          Not that common either
They would also be worn on some Peaked Hats
                          "Schirmmutze", crusher style.

To me..it looks like they were removed from an OFFICERS OVERSEAS CAP..noticed how the eagle is kind of distorted with swept back wings..Billbert
