    SS arm band for review

I spotted this at a gun show today. The guy wants $375 USD. I haven't had much time to study these yet, I am still looking mostly at TK's. He seemed a little shifty but guaranteed it 100 % authentic SS , which kind of reminded me of OJ saying 100 % not guilty.

    Opinions welcome.

I think the round disc gives it away as fake correct ? Now that I've had a chance to dig around for pictures it would seem the disc is poorly made and the stitching is sloppy.

Am I on the right track ?

You are right about that. It's a fake. Glad you didn't waste your money on it.

Ha ha no kidding. The guy looked me right in the eye and said it was authentic , but I could tell he was lying. His buddy who was also at the table had a sheepish look too. I don't actually like buying anything at shows, the noise and bustle makes it hard to take time to examine things properly , plus you cant dig around and compare the item to known real examples.

        Thanks, for the feedback

Here is my SS armband, with RZM Tag to inside. That's what an original should look like.

Ok, I appreciate this effort on your part for me to learn something so I want to analyze your photo and request that you tell me if I am analyzing correctly.

The swastika doesn't look a lot different to me , except the arms are not very straight but the white disk is really obvious.

It is slightly oval and the curve of the material is very uniform. The white fabric is much finer and more uniform and the weave is different. The edge of the white disc has much finer sewing and the edge appears much more finished .

The black piping on the edges I don't see a whole lot of difference.

Yes you are 100% correct on all the points you mention. Also notice the red wool material which also slightly differs from the repro one.

You're right, yours is more fuzzy and you cant see the weave like an old wool sweater. I appreciate the feedback

Since my photobucket pics no longer work, and I cant seem to find a link to edit, I am attaching photos that were initially at the start of this thread. I have learned a lot since last April, and have acquired an authentic version since then which is in the mail.
