SS Officer Visor Hat & RZM 52 Skull

This visor has passed through a couple of hands before me over the last decade and now belongs to me. It had been discussed years ago here but it really didn't have enough pics. There were concerns about it not having a size mark if it were a true Kleiderkasse hat. In fact, it does have a size 60 stamp which was very clear to me once I got it in hand and it is exactly where it should be. Hat was sold by Bill Shea in 2005 with a fake skull on it. He also failed to see the size mark [me eyes arnt that good, lol]. It has a bunch of extra holes in the pasteboard which I believe mostly to be from the detached stiffener. At first I thought re-banded Heer but that's a "no way", hat has defenatly never been taken apart.. After taking the fake skull off I saw an outline of another skull once being on it in a slightly lower location. I bought a killer RZM 52 skull to put on it but not sure if I should. 3 prong zinc eagle looks original to hat and perhaps I should get a zinc skull. Also I'm really afraid of breaking a prong off the RZM 52 skull.

I look to the very knowledgeable members of this forum to see if me thinking is correct on this whole matter. I know most of you guys arnt visor experts but I think its a "one looker".

    Thanks, Cliff

60 size stamp a bit hard to see due to soiling

pushed near where it would have been. Some of the thick black thread shown which I believe orig attached stiffener to board [extra holes]
